World Vegan Day

Vegetarians have declared October to be the month of their beliefsWorld Vegan Day It is limited to two holidays October 1st is Vegetarian Day, and November 1st is International Vegan Day How does the first date differ from the second? And is there a difference between a vegetarian and a vegan? At first glance, vegetarianism and veganism are equivalent concepts But there is a significant difference between them Vegetarianism is most concerned with nutrition - it is the rejection of meat and other animal products, but there are also vegetarians, whose menu consists of plant foods, dairy products and eggs For a vegan, such variety is impossible Veganism is a complete abstinence from animal foods, even honey And moreover, from any household products containing elements of animal origin For example, vegans strictly monitor the contents of detergents or cosmetics In addition, it is unacceptable to wear fur, genuine leather or suede, bone or horn, wool or silk as clothing, shoes or an accessory There is a complex attitude towards drugs if animal experiments were used to introduce them Thus, being a vegan is a more conscious attitude towards the vegetarian lifestyle, which is symbolically achieved during the “Vegetarian Awareness Month”, that is, from October 1st to November 1st of each year The initiative to celebrate the date belongs to the British Donald Watson It was he who introduced the word vegan into use; he was the ideological inspirer of the vegan movement, founded on November 1, 1944 50 years later, members of the society patented November 1st as a celebration of their way of life The celebration has a varied program, including educational activities with food tasting, various rallies, and charity events The funds raised are donated to animal shelters, and many animals find homes You can have different attitudes towards vegetarianism and veganism, but everyone must listen to the problems they voice Man is only a piece of life on planet Earth; the use of other living beings must be reasonable and justified The problems with veganism are moral problems Is it possible for a humane, civilized society that behaves immorally towards animals? What will humanity come to if no one asks this question? This is why there is a special date for the vegan society, whose fans are becoming more and more every year
