Girls are female children who have not reached adulthood It turns out that there are about 20% of them on Earth - that’s more than one billion And every girl, absolutely every girl, has her own life with her own problems, thoughts, seemingly hopeless situations And of course, every girl overcomes them during her life’s journey - some with the help of parents, friends, teachers or loved ones, while others have to be practically alone The UN General Assembly declared October 11 as the International Day of the Girl Child in 2011 This day was chosen to not only support and popularize girls' rights, but also to draw the world's attention to girls' problems Every year on this day various events are held aimed at solving pressing problems of girls and teenage girls Thus, each year a topic is chosen with which the public intends to work during the year For example, in 2012 the problem of early marriages was raised, and 2013 was devoted to the educational environment of the younger generation Issues of investment are raised, thanks to which it will be possible to solve such global problems as the possibility of self-education everywhere, personal development, the fight against violence and other problems among which every modern girl, young woman or future woman has to live The UN advocates not to leave the issues of the younger generation without solutions, because they are the future of our planet By being on the sidelines and not taking certain problems to heart, we deprive ourselves of the future Healthy physically and emotionally girls and future women are the key to a healthy society in principle And in order to ensure the future and happy prosperity of our children and grandchildren, we must take care of those around us today Help and support them, protecting them from the harmful influence of certain social phenomena and motivating them to a healthy, intellectually and emotionally interesting lifestyle In a word, on October 11 - on the International Day of the Girl, at least once a year, with your hand on your heart, it is worth taking seriously the pressing issues in the lives of girls and, if not at least helping to find a solution, then coordinating actions in such a way that every child knows where and who can provide him with this help?
