This day was not chosen by chance. It was on May 7, in 1895, that Alexander Popov, a teacher in the subject of physics in the officer course in Kronstadt, read out a report “On the relationship of metal powders to electrical vibrations.” Then he made the first radio communication session using a device of his own production.
The decree on the creation of the RF Armed Forces was signed almost a quarter of a century ago by the first President of Russia. From this Decree, May 7 began to be considered the Day of the Creation of the Armed Forces. Despite their apparent youth, they have ancient roots, a unique history illuminated by great victories and bitter defeats.
The tradition of celebrating this day dates back to 1992, when President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev signed a law that included the creation of his own army. Exactly 20 years later, the head of state made a decision, thanks to which today May 7 is a public holiday, officially a day off for all residents of Kazakhstan.
The importance of signalmen and radio technicians in our time in the armed forces, especially in the navy, cannot be underestimated. Indeed, depending on the coordinated and high-quality work of specialists, the result of carrying out combat and strategic missions directly depends.

The first part of the name of the holiday is borrowed from the church calendar - on this day they honor the memory of the holy martyr Eusebius, who suffered for his faith in Christ in the 4th century. The people nicknamed the day Evsei - Oats off, since this day was considered the last in the period of sowing oats. In the evening, the peasants organized folk festivities. Residents called musicians, lit bonfires, sang, danced and played.
