Every year on November 12, Russia celebrates the ecological holiday Titmouse Day, which was created on the initiative of the Russian Bird Conservation Union. On this day, residents of different settlements prepare to meet birds that remain for the winter in our area: tits, goldfinches, bullfinches, jays, tap dancers, and waxwings. “Titmouse Day” symbolizes the arrival of wintering birds to a person’s home before the onset of serious cold weather and was created to attract attention to starving and freezing birds and to help them.
